Ode to the Ocean
A poem by Carrie Lehtonen
My beloved, Stretched out before me, holding me, supporting me. I lay my head back and float Warm sun on my skin Cool water laps at my shoulders I'm at peace. Content to just be with no agenda, no to-do list. A pelican flies overhead Waves crash into rocks. The ocean, She calls me back here Over and over Year after year The warm Pacific of Costa Rica.
